The Process and Product Quality Assurance process area supports the delivery of top-quality end-user products and provided services and ensures that planned activities and processes are implemented in a proper way. The adjoining process – verification – ensures that specified requirements are completely satisfied. |

Quality assurance activities involves the following:
- examination of capturing explicit and implicit client requirements completeness and respective exactness
- evaluation of internal processes, producible results, exterior services against correspondent process descriptions, standards and procedures
- documenting of identified noncompliance issues
- addressing of noncompliance issues and monitoring of issues elimination
- providing appropriate informing of project team on the result of quality assurance activities
Quality assurance starts at project early phases to set up plans, internal processes, quality standards, activities and procedures that will allow the resulting software product to meet all the requirements. |
